Free course in how to manage a website redesign
The 4th How to Manage email course is now finished!
This one is How to Manage Website Design.
It is really packed with solid information and advice. The others are too, of course. But website design projects tend to be bigger, more complex, and much harder to manage. They are more expensive and there is a whole lot more that can go wrong.
If you’re thinking about redoing your website, this will be really valuable.
And I’ll mention - it is targeted at people who are redoing a site, not people who are creating one for the first time. But even if you are starting from scratch, you will get a lot out of this course.
Just like the other How to Manage courses, you get 10 email lessons (one per day for 10 days).
That means that in 20 minutes (actually, a little more than 20 minutes - these emails are longer than usual because there is so much information) you will learn the basics of what you need to know to manage someone who is doing website design for you.
Those 10 emails cover:
1. Before you begin - what you need to understand before getting started
2. How much will it cost?
3. What info to gather - what information are you going to need to provide to your web design team before they get started?
4. What to look for in someone you hire to do a website makeover - what personality, skills and experience they should have
5. Interview questions - what to ask to tell if the web designer you are talking to knows what they are doing
6. The process - what steps are they going to go through in doing the work
7. Status reports - what kind of status reports should you ask for
8. Questions to ask - what questions should you ask in meetings
9. Avoiding problems - common problems that occur with website design, how to identify them early, what to do, and how to prevent them in the first place
10. What if you have no budget - things you can do (by yourself or outsource) when your budget is $500 or less

You can sign up on the website for this one or any of the other 3 courses:
How to Manage Public Relations (PR)
How to Manage Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
How to Manage Copywriting
The next course will be How to Manage PPC - in other words, how to manage someone who is doing pay-per-click advertising campaigns for you, like the ones you run on Google AdWords.
Stay tuned…
